Browsing by folders

Browsing by folders lets you navigate through the repository folder structure similar to Windows Explorer and other applications. When you find the documents that you are looking for, you can save the current view filter for later reuse.

To browse by folders:

To open a folder, click the expand icon . To close a folder, click the collapse icon .

To view the contents of a folder, click the folder icon or the folder name. The possible folder icons are described in the following table. The results pane list refreshes to show the documents that are contained in the selected folder.

Folder icons
Icon Description

Folder that contains no documents or object tags but may contain sub-folders.

Folder that contains documents or object tags.

Project folder that may contain working copies of master documents.

To save a view filter:

  1. Click the Save the current Filter button . The Save dialog box appears.
  2. Type a name that will appear on the Home page and click OK.
